Only through teamwork can we push forward the boundaries of science to make a difference for patients

IRIS provides a translational framework from preclinical discovery to transformative innovative clinical care. However, this requires many different people all working together as a cohesive team towards a common goal – to provide innovative and high-quality health care, especially to children, using minimally invasive techniques.  This is only made possible through the dedication of all of our team members and the creation of integrated inclusive work environments where we value and respect diversity and inclusion.

Dr Thakor leads IRIS at the Innovation Park at Stanford where his team pioneers and develops innovative visions and approaches focused on precision delivery and therapy.  He also works with other faculty (both within Stanford and at other institutions) as well as with industry partners for collaborations with complimentary domain expertise to help push forwards the boundaries of Science in a team approach.  Finally, Dr Thakor works at Stanford Heath Care to help treat patients, and especially children at LPCH, where he looks to develop new workflows for precision delivery and diagnosis.

PREVIOUS MEMBERS OF IRIS

While people move on to new opportunities, they always remain a part of the IRIS family.

OUR BOND

Our teams are highly functional, not because we work well and collaborate together, but because we work as an extended family whereby we respect, support and empower each other to reach beyond what we are capable of.
